In Spring 1992, this Gulf Mobile & Ohio railroad car #50 was docked at the Garland, Texas, train depot. Isaac Tigrett (Hard Rock Cafe and House of Blues) had purchased it and was having it completely refurbished. After the original upholstery crew quit, we were asked to finish covering the walls in the Observation Room with an antique fabric. It took some patience and finesse to work around the carved teak panels from an Indian maharaja's palace. The project manager was pleased with our work and asked us to travel to New Orleans. But at the time, our business obligations would not allow us to do so.
